As part of the "Analysis: the right to inform and the right to be informed" project in Tunisia, supported by the European Union, RFI ran a seminar on starting up local radio stations. This seminar, held from the 19th to the 22nd of December in partnership with the CAPJC and led by the INRIC, was attended by promoters of twelve new Tunisian private stations and their editorial or programming directors. Through group workshops and different modules, the participants worked on the following concepts: - creating an FM radio: why and for who? - radio news: how to make it pertinent for citizens - how to manage a team in a young radio station The seminar was run by Pierre-Yves Schneider and Sahadou Zato, consultants for RFI, Sophie Marsaudon journalist project manager for the Académie RFI, Dora Jaffel European project manager at RFI, Bernard Chenuaud project manager and training coordinator for RFI, Abdellatif Cherif journalist at MCD, Abdelkarim Hizaoui, director of CAPJC and Hassan Zargouni from Sigma Conseil. The work sessions were enriched by filmed interventions from Vicky Sommet on programming, Fady Matar on music programming and Gueanel Launay on technical management.
