Iraqi journalists from multiple media outlets took part in a 4-day webinar hosted by the Académie France Médias Monde from 23 to the 26th of November 2020.
The webinar this year entitled “Challenges facing journalists in times of Covid-19” hosted a number journalists and directors from FMM including Souad El Tayeb, Marc Saikali, FMM Doctor Sabine Genty, Franck Penaud, Jean-Pierre Constantin, Mohamed Farhat, Suha Sibany, Bashar Draidi, Amar Al Hameedawi and Antoine Cormery.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this year the Académie hosted the journalists online discussing the challenges facing their work and how to give civil society groups their say in media reports. The webinar also discussed how to protect journalists and their sources.
